The Free Museum Jean Moulin

Back in World War II with the invasion of France, several French Citizens trained in Britain and air-dropped back into occupied territory. Jean Moulin is one of them. The Free Museum Jean Moulin is dedicated to him and his efforts to free his countrymen.

On Top of The Gare Montparnasse Train Station In Paris

The museum is on top of the Gare Montparnasse Train station which makes it very accessible. Being connect to a train makes it easily accessible. The Museum goes through the life of this resistance fighter. It gives a great view of life in Paris during Wartime. Lest we forget.

Jean Moulin’s World before the War

The Free Museum Jean Moulin starts with life before the invasion by Germany and WW II. It then moves to Germany occupying France and shaming Parisians for the Versailles Treaty. Tactics and equipment along with training is on to display how the French Resistance fought back. Finally, it describes Jean Moulin ultimate demise.

The Museum is connected to the French Resistance Museum connected by a theater which gives perspective of the normal Frenchman in World War II. If you want an idea of how the War really was for those who lived under the thumb of Nazis this is for you. It helps visitors understand what occupation of your country would be like. If you are a history buff, or a military enthusiast, you really need to go to The Free Museum Jean Moulin. It will show what underground war is like as well as fighting for your country when Democracy is gone.

Raj of Kensington

Just off High Street in the Kensington area of London is a great little Restaurant. This is the place to find the most reasonable priced Indian food and one of the cheapest places to eat in London. It’s Raj of Kensington.

The establishment is well decorated and is great for a night out in London. But the prices are extremely reasonable. My main course was 11.95 Pounds, rice was 3.75, and drink 3.95. For under 20 pounds you can have a meal and not be hungry afterwards.

The story of Raj is interesting as well. ‘The British Raj (Raj meaning “rule” in Hindi) was the rule of Great Britain in the Indian Subcontinent between 1858 and 1947, predominantly under Queen Victoria – Empress of India. The British Raj encompassed almost all present-day India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. The Raj may have ended many years ago, but The British East India Company ensured that the best of India was introduced to the UK and love for Indian cuisine ensued!“

Great Place for a Nice Evening

The meals themselves come with their own story like “served on a train from Bombay to Calcutta. I had that and thoroughly enjoyed it. My companion had the more expensive salmon for 16.95 and said it was delicious. For those who want a full dinner, there is a fixed menu of an appetizer, first course,

1 Ambington Road, just off High Street

The service is very warm and professional which puts it on the top of my list. And if you have a short layover, they deliver too. Either way, Raj of Kensington is a great deal for airline crews.
